Cinemasports for All!
This is the filmmaking version of the 100 metre sprint. Teams have 10 hours to make a three minute movie with three required elements.
Cinemasports is for everyone, whether you've made a few films already or if your filmmaking experience amounts to recording your mates' dodgy dancing in dodgy bars with your mobile.
Teams can be any size, or if you don't have a team, you'll be assigned to one.
The Competition day
Teams and solo participants must come to the kick-off at Lawrence Street Workshops at 10am on Saturday the 12th of October.
At 10am the three required 'ingredients' (for example, a miracle, dirty water, and a jump) will be released and the teams can get to work on their stories or plans.
Filmmakers then take their cast, crew and recording equipment and shoot a three minute film.
It must be written, recorded, edited and delivered back to Lawrence Street Workshops within the ten hour timeframe, ready to screen on the 11th hour.
The Screening
The Screening will be at Lawrence Street Workshops Belfast at 9pm that night, Saturday 12th of October.
We will also screen selected films from other Cinemasports events around the world, in Korea, Taiwan, Spain, England, and the USA.
At the end of the screening of the Belfast films, we will announce winners in several categories and there'll be a prize for the overall winning Belfast team
